About CTCMA
The Connecticut Town and City Management Association (CTCMA) is a professional and educational organization dedicated to promoting excellence in local government management across the state of Connecticut. Established to support the development of appointed municipal managers, CTCMA fosters an environment of professional growth, collaboration, and innovation among local government administrators, assistants, and other local government executives.
Our Mission
CTCMA's mission is to support professional management in local government by increasing the knowledge and ability of current and future municipal administrators and managers, by promoting the exchange of information between Association members, and by providing opportunities for professional development of members; to strengthen the quality of local government through professional management; to encourage and preserve high ethical standards for municipal professionals; and to encourage, support, and assist in acquainting citizens of the state with the precepts of professional administrators and managers.
Who We Serve
Our association serves professional local government administrators & assistants whose goal is to improve the quality of local government in Connecticut through professional management. CTCMA provides a platform for these leaders to network and to share best practices, develop their skills, and stay informed about the latest trends and challenges facing local governments.

Affiliation with ICMA and Commitment to Ethical Leadership
CTCMA is an affiliate of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), an organization devoted to enhancing the proficiency of municipal managers and other municipal administrators and strengthening the quality of local government through improved professional management. CTCMA members must adhere to the ICMA Code of Ethics and must demonstrate ethical and legal awareness in personal and professional relationships and be dedicated to the highest principles of honesty, integrity, and excellence in management.
